Green items from vendors? When did that start?
I was repairing my sorry butt in Darkshire last night and the armorer person had 3 different green items "of the whatever" for sale. When did that start? Or have I been blundering about with my Dwarven beer goggles on again?
I then went to Theremore isle and the guy there is selling a level 17 "Flamberge of the dont buy this crap". I can only presume this is a new thing or for the Winterveil event? Or maybe the last patch and I have been too inebriated to notice? Highly possible

For as long as I can remember, the goblin who patrols from the crossroads to ratchet has been selling green items. His name is Lizzarik (had to look it up :P).
I don't play alliance anymore, so I can't comment on what's for sale in Darkshire currently, is it of the monkey etc? I've not seen npcs selling stuff like that before. However, for a long time I've seen many npcs selling limited supply (and usually very overpriced) greens which have names like "Feral Blade", etc.

I just checked at Darkshire. Morg Gnarltree has 3 items:
Legionarres leggings, level 19 with +5 sta and +5 spirit. 63 silver.
Heavy runed cloak, level 20, +3 sta and +3 spirit. 32 silver.
Mighty chain pants, level 18, +5 str and +5 sta. 51 silver.
Only one available from each and yes they are low level but those Mighty chain pants are not too bad for a 18 warrior if you have not picked anything up as yet (obviously!). Im intrigued as to whether there are higher level items around.
And yes I must have been inebriated because I thought they were "of the" items ;)

The Consortium Weapon vendor (NOT the rep item quartermaster) in Stormspire has been selling green items for a while, but for prices way above the norm and vastly more than their disenchant value.

Some vendors have been selling greens for a long time. Often they will appear randomly, like the vendors that sell certain recipes for various crafting professions. Open the vendor once and it's not there, open it again and it is. I always scroll to the last page of a vendors wears just to look for these buys.
I actually found a new one months ago while questing on my rogue. There's a vendor in Hillsbrad that sells some lowbie greens that is behind Durnholde Keep on the hill (not the traveling goblin merchant).

Far as I know, those have been around for ages.
Mostly they're exceedingly limited in stock though (as in, they carry exactly 1 of the item), which might explain why you didn't always see them

Ok thanks guys. I have seen greens for sale on the Goblins, but just never in all my time seen them on standard lower level NPC's as far as I can honestly recall. And certainly not Darkshire or Theramore. Ive spent many an enjoyable hour or 2 in between there and Raven hill in my time never to see anything and now they are there 2 days following.
And I also check all the pages of a new vendor just in case he has something more useful than a skinning knife ;)
